Vintage Valentine Card for Neighbor |

| Larger than usual vintage valentine with the year 1929 written on the back in pencil features a little boy looking over the fence to the house next door which has a cute little dog on the front steps. Boy is a separate piece that has been inserted into a slot in the card. There is also a slot in the window of the house, presumably for another separate figure to be inserted, but there is nothing in that slot.. Verse reads "I'd like to be my neighbor's Valentine." Some sort of pink staining on the back, but from what I haven't a clue. Light purple smudge on house on the front, but this may be part of the coloring of the card. Slight corner bumps particularly on eaves of house and on ridgetop of roof. Approx 5 1/2" x 4 3/8". Please note: Colors are a bit more bright and vibrant than show up with our scanner, which tends to turn reds to pink for some reason. |
