| Beautiful pattern featuring the gold hook nosed "Speedbird" Concorde logo in a repeating pattern on a dark blue band. Would be stunning even if it weren't rare. The information we have is that this design was the first china livery used on Concorde back in the 1970's. We've seen this item with two different Doulton marks, but we're not sure what the difference is. This particular example is marked as shown in the second photo, with the a small gilt x and the designation number UCCH 8000, which is a mark I've never seen before on Concorde china. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, or repairs, although there might be a tiny mark or a fleabite or two along the rim since these were usually stored in the aircraft galley stacked together. Measures approximately 4" in diameter and 1 3/4" tall. |
