| Excellent condition Apollo 11 Man on the Moon glass by Libbey. Eight ounce size glass is approx. 4" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter . I think this was the first design in the U.S.A. Apollo Space Mission series of glasses and carafes produced by Libbey between 1969 and 1971. Lists the names of all three astronauts, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Shows Armstrong in his astronaut suit stepping off of Tranquility Base onto the surface of the moon on July 20, 1969. Also has a nice graphic of an eagle landing on the moon with the earth in the "sky" in the background. Great item for any NASA collection! |
