From Wade's best selling line, this medium mother tortoise and the small baby tortoise were originally sold just like this, as a pair. Both carry the typical blue and brown mottled glaze. Backstamp on underside reads Wade Porcelain Made in England. Hard to tell exactly when these were made, as this line ran from 1958 to 1988. Excellent condition with no chips, flakes, or flaws noted.
