Wade Candle Holder With Bouldray Metal Cockerel Rooster

First introduced around 1963. Discontinued in 1965. Made using black metal and brass miniature animal figures from Bouldray Brass and Metal Foundries attached to a candle holder base with a metal screw through the bottom. This example is a cockerel or rooster attached to a blue base. Approximately 45mm. Marked under base Wade Porcelain Made In England. Excellent condition with no damage detected. High points show brass color, but I have not seen enough of these to know if this is the factory finish or represents wear. May have some candle wax residue in and/or around the candle holder. Has a metal sleeve inserted in the candle socket. Reference books do not indicate if this was original to the piece or not.
