Vintage lead man with overcoat French Lead Farm Figure

This figure is 2 1/4 inches tall. I don't know the maker but can see the word FRANCE on the base. Good condition. Hollowcast metal, probably lead. For adult collectors only, not a toy for children. From the angle of his right hand I think perhaps he was intended to carry something.
